I've recently started my dream of working in the travel industry, and as a result I'm see that alot of people don't think they can afford to travel. Wrong! You can! You MUST!
The world is a pretty amazing place, and it is there to be experienced...you just have to make it a priority.

My husband & I are saving for a trip to take my teenage daughter to Europe. By squirreling away just a little here, a little there, we are seeing it as more of a reality rather than a "some day". I've learned that if you live on "some days", that "some day" never comes...so do it now!

I'm going to post some travel deals here now & again. All of these are real deals for the value sort of trips. Do it!

When the Creativity Bug Strikes

I have tons of sewing to do right now for the upcoming Regency Exhibition Ball (I really wish they'd change the name to something a bit more elegant sounding), but it seems that whenever the creativity bug bites me, I get the itch to do things more than what I'm supposed to be focusing on. Today it's flower pins in crazy bright colours for my teenage daughter. Tonight it could be the urge to paint?

So, I was thrilled when I stumbled across the "Make It Do" blog today!

She has recipes, crafts, and even treatments for basic ailments that anyone...and I mean anyone...can make on a budget and in a very small amount of time! Best of all, she provides photo instructions of all of it!

I encourage you to go get creative on a budget!

Today I'd like to encourage everyone to switch search engines.

Yes, I know that Google is the most popular, but consider GOODSEARCH, please.

Goodsearch rocks because not only do you put in our charity or school of choice that will receive 1 cent for every search you do (and think about just how many you do), you can also have that charity or school receive money when you make your online purchases. Plus, there is always a different celebrity and charity that is featured each day.

Elegant Artwork - Janet Hill Studio

I love art. Always have. It's not unusual to find me and my family at a museum on any given day. So when I stumbled upon this Etsy shop - Janet Hill Studio - I fell in love with her work!

Not only does it have that vintage photo feel to her paintings, they are feminine and lush. If I actually had space for an art/sewing room (which I desperately want), I would definately hang her art there!

And this painting of Regency gowns might just have to come to my home anyway!

Toff Pauper??

What does this mean? What is this blog all about?
"Toff" is a British slang term for "extreme upper crust"...and "Pauper", of course means "a very poor person". Contridiction? You bet! But it's how I live my life...cheaply, affordably, but at the same time "upper crust" I'm a firm believer you can have the best in life without having to spend a fortune. I'm hoping I can share tips, sites, ideas so you too can live life as a "toff pauper"!
